GEOINT - A Recap
Compusult's biggest conference and tradeshow of the year has come and gone, and members of the Compusult team are impressed with the overall success of the event.
The GEOINT 2011 Symposium was held in San Antonio, Texas, and attracted over 250 organizations featuring cutting-edge technologies. It is an annual premier intelligence event offering keynote addresses and panels from the Defense and Intelligence communities. With several social events for attendees, and over 100,000 square feet of exhibits, GEOINT provides numerous opportunities for individuals to network and make connections. This was Compusult’s 8th year in attendance at this event and ultimately decided to increase its presence at this years conference. With a much larger space, a 20 x 20 booth, Compusult designed a booth that would garner attention and attract visitors. With over 4,500 attendees, and a larger, more prominent booth display, Compusult experienced increased traffic and interest from attendees.
In addition to a much larger booth display, Compusult also launched its much anticipated GO Mobile software at GEOINT 2011. The booth design heavily focused on the launch of this product, featuring the "GO Mobile" logo, as well as videos of the software in action and images of tablets and smart phones. The release and launch of GO Mobile was very successful and staff received positive feedback about the software. Many visitors provided comments and great ideas to improve the functionality of the product. The increased traffic to the booth allowed Compusult to effectively showcase the software by providing demos at the various workstations, and also speak one-on-one with people about the product's capabilities. "The launch of GO Mobile was a huge success", said Mr. Robert Thomas, Marketing Manager with Compusult. "The software was positively received and there was a great deal of interest in the product from visitors to the booth".
Compusult decided to organize an iPad 2 Giveaway, in which visitors were encouraged to enter the draw by leaving their business cards in a ballot box. This promotion reflected the release of GO Mobile and the theme of the event, "Forging Integrated Intelligence", suggesting better integration and sharing of information; a key feature of smartphones and tablets. Mr. Hernando Ortega was the winner of our giveaway, and was presented his iPad 2 at the Compusult booth on the last day of the exhibition.
Compusult has been a long time participant of the GEOINT Symposium, and is very pleased with the show attendance and interest in Compusult's products. Compusult once again looks forward to attending the GEOINT 2012 Symposium being held in Orlando, Florida, and is excited to begin preparations for next year's show.
