The Compusult Team

To build successful software and hardware solutions, you need more than a few development tools ... you need a team of professionals. At Compusult, we have assembled a team of over 60 innovators and experts in a variety of disciplines. Our breadth of experience gives us the flexibility to design and implement custom solutions that fit our clients' needs exactly.

When assembling project teams, we can draw from the following personnel:

Project Managers

Compusult has gained considerable experience in the management of projects involving relational database management systems and the integration of third-party products with custom-developed systems. Compusult has managed projects both as the sole contractor and as a member of a consortium development team. Our management experience extends to well-defined quality assurance procedures, adherence to documentation and coding standards, and ongoing consulting and support services after project completion.

Project Engineers/Systems Integrators

Compusult has been carrying out systems integration and engineering projects over the past 26 years, combining our capabilities in software and database design and development, technical writing and documentation, data communications and networking, Internet services, commercial software, hardware procurement, and integration for a variety of operational and production environments. Compusult's focus in recent years has been on data warehousing and online services, with emphasis on development of commercial software and electronics products, custom data management systems, and on-line data access services including data distribution via the Internet and World Wide Web.

Software Developers

Compusult has extensive experience in custom software development on a variety of different platforms. Compusult has previously developed software for large-scale distributed systems, employing back-end data management, delivery and warehousing capabilities, as well as system interfaces for use in a client-server environment. These interfaces include, among others, online access and data delivery through Internet services such as the World Wide Web. Some of these systems are now available as commercial products.

Quality Assurance Personnel

Compusult is committed to delivering quality products and services to all our clients. In this respect, Compusult has implemented an in-house Software Quality Assurance (SQA) program that meets the requirements of the CAN/CSA-Q396.1.1 standard for the development of systems, software and related documentation used in critical applications. Compusult staff have also been trained in and have previous project experience with the IEEE guidelines.

Marketing Specialists

Our Marketing Specialists have in-depth knowledge of information technology-related products and services and management experience within both large and small business organizations. They provide market research, analysis and assessment for all company initiatives.

Compusult Prepares for Upcoming Trade Shows and Conferences

It has been a busy year for Compusult, as staff continue to balance promotional, business development, and client relations efforts. With several trade shows and conferences under its belt in recent months, Compusult personnel continue to prepare for upcoming events.

Most recently, Compusult participated in CANSEC 2012, an event it takes part in annually. CANSEC is Canada's premiere defence and security exhibition, hosted by the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries (CADSI). The exhibition took place on May 30 and 31, and acted as a meeting ground for suppliers and customers of the defence and security industry, ranging from equipment, products, technologies and services. Just prior to its participation in CANSEC, Compusult attended the GSDI World Conference  in Quebec City, combining GSDI 13, the 14th GEOIDE Conference, the 7th 3D GeoInfo Conference and the Canadian Geomatics Conference 2012. The theme of the conference was "Spatially Enabling Government, Industry and Citizens", and explored the complementary roles of government, private industry and the academic community in realizing better means for sharing geographic data and technologies, and developing improved location-based services for meeting world needs.

In addition to several geospatially focused trade shows, Compusult has also been heavily involved with Assistive Technology driven conferences. In early May, Compusult proudly signed on as a corporate sponsor for the Learning Disabilities Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (LDANL) Spring Conference. The theme of the conference was "Learning Disabilities and the Inclusive Classroom", and featured a variety of national speakers offering professional development on several topics including differentiated learning and universal design.

So what's next for Compusult? The 33rd Canadian Symposium on Remote Sensing is taking place from June 11 - 14 at Carleton University in Ottawa. This conference will feature keynote speakers, workshops and technical sessions, and Compusult will be on hand to showcase its products. Shortly after the Remote Sensing Symposium, Compusult will be participating in the World Conference on Disaster Management from June 25 - 27 in Toronto, Ontario. This annual event is hosted by the Canadian Centre for Emergency Preparedness (CCEP), and Compusult will be exhibiting and networking with other business professionals in the field. Finally, From July 28 to August 24, the Assistive Technology (AT) department will be occupied with the International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ISAAC) 2012 Conference. This biennial conference attracts consumers, family members and personal care providers, and prospective attendees are interested in communication technologies and products to improve independence and quality of life; all areas of focus for Compusult.

Check back soon with more updates on Compusult's upcoming trade shows, conferences and events!
