A suite
of applications based on open standards,
that work together to provide one of the
most comprehensive, data discovery, access,
retrieval and delivery systems available. |
|
 |
Overview
| Compusult’s Web
Enterprise Suite is the complete solution
for GIS data product discovery, access,
delivery and publishing via the Web.
Its highly advanced, tightly integrated,
standards based components provide
all the functionality required to
publish, distribute or resell your
data to clients’ world wide. |
|
Web Enterprise Suite
is an integrated suite of standards-based applications
that enable the expedient and efficient construction
of spatial Web-based portals that provide data
cataloguing, discovery, access, retrieval, delivery,
Web mapping, e-commerce and metadata management
services.
Web Enterprise Suite
has proven time and again to be the most advanced
and proven data discovery, access, delivery
and publishing solutions available. Current
success stories range from NGA
(previously known as NIMA) to the USGS.
If disparate data sources need to be transparently
integrated into a coherent data publishing and
retrieval portal, without having to reformat
that data; then look no further then Web Enterprise
Suite.

A Complete End-to-End Data Discovery, Access
and Delivery Solution
Web Enterprise Suite
Integrates data warehouse management, distributed
searching, data delivery, geospatial queries
and e-commerce services into a single suite,
providing the most comprehensive data product
delivery system available. All components are
designed to work together, providing a much
simpler implementation for complex requirements.

The technologies associated with the Web Enterprise
Suite were developed and implemented to address
the requirements associated with providing enterprise-wide
interactive WWW-based applications for users
of relational and geospatial-related data. The
architecture is open and flexible and provides
organizations with the ability to rapidly implement
and deploy custom applications derived from
relational database and GIS content.

The Web Enterprise Suite contains Internet-based
applications and toolkits that support web mapping,
information cataloging, discovery, access, retrieval
and delivery services. These applications provide
the ability to integrate into existing legacy
catalog and enterprise management (including
e-commerce) facilities.
External users access the system via a WWW
interface. All users are able to browse the
catalog to identify information, applications,
products and services they wish to view/order/access
via a number of methods using industry-based
standards and applications.
Web
Enterprise Suite is also a contributor to the
Open Geospatial Consortium Catalogue Services Interoperability
initiative.

Web Enterprise Suite
Applications:
Meta
Miner - a middleware gateway
application that provides distributed searching
of remote data servers using either the
Z39.50 protocol or the OGC Web Feature Server
(WFS) specification.
Meta
Manager - an advanced metadata
toolkit providing metadata management for
RDBMSs. It supports multiple metadata standards
and provides the ability to define, map
and manage metadata content and to present
this content in a number of formats including
XML.
Map
Manager - a powerful OGC-enabled
Internet mapping solution providing the
ability to present, link, distribute and
publish geomatics-based data, products and
services in either the OGC WMS or ESRI ArcXML
interface.
WFPS
- Provides a very effective means to access
and render geographic objects for overlay
in a Web Mapping environment.
WMSMerge
- A cascading middleware map service that
will merge geospatial sources and content
into a consolidated picture prior to delivery
to a Web Mapping client.
Service
Manager - An OGC-enabled ebXML-based
service registry providing discovery, access,
harvesting and maintenance of Web-based
services metadata.
GFM
- A commercial data warehouse product especially
suited to the needs of organizations for
receiving, archiving, cataloging, maintaining
and disseminating data holdings over intranets
and wide area networks such as the Internet.
WMSBridge
- Provides enhanced OGC Web Mapping Service
(WMS) connectivity to ArcIMS servers.
WES
Portal - The WES Portal is
a pre-configured collection of portlets
and servlets developed in the JSP, J2EE
environment providing the ability to quickly
deploy standards-based geospatial portals
supporting both the BEA Web Logic and Tomcat
J2EE environments.
WES
Gazetteer - An OGC-enabled
gazetteer service that provides world coverage
for name look-up services. It is pre populated
and is composed of content from the Geographic
Names Information System (GNIS) and the
NGA Gazetteer.
WES
Viewer - A dynamic Web Mapping
application that spatially fuses information
to provide a Common Operating Picture and
C2 visualization from various disparate
data sources. It supports the most popular
OGC specifications and standards and is
fully integrated into the WES Portal infrastructure.
